I've seen this being circulated on a bunch of video game sites, it's all the Pokemon from Red/Blue and Silver/Gold drawn as if they were taken from traditional Japanese art (think Okami). It's gorgeously drawn and they way some of them are interpreted is just fantastic, so I thought I'd pass it along. I haven't played since Ruby/Sapphire, but I was relieved to find out that I recognized all of the ones drawn!

Awesome news on the Merlin front - the Season One DVD box set is being released in the USA in April, and Season Two will be also be on SyFy then, after a recap the previous season in March (which was previously on NBC last summer). I'll definitely be buying Season One! :D

Managed to survive the first week of classes, and onto the second! Lots of reading this semester, but I guess I asked for it, with three lit classes.

I was so sad watching Conan O'Brien's last episode of the Tonight Show last Friday, I'm a ridiculously huge fan of his, he's always been my favorite late-night talk show host.

I bought LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias off of WiiWare a few days ago, I forgot just how charming the game is (I guess it's a series now?), the world is so soft and beautiful and the little guy you lead around the world, Toku, is probably the most adorable silent video game hero ever. The first game was short, but for $10, I really can't complain about the game's episodic format.
I also got Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't played any of the games on the DS, so I was happy to hear Capcom was porting them to the Wii. I love visual novel/adventure games like this and Hotel Dusk, and I had a great time playing it. Now I'm waiting for the second game to show up in March, and the fifth case from the first game's DS release in May. :D
I have a bunch of video games I still haven't finished, it's kind of embarassing - Okami in particular, I got frustrated with the brush controls and sort of gave up, I should really try again. :/

I am so pissed about what's happening to Conan O'Brien and this whole Tonight Show debacle. I am a huge Conan fan, and I am so mad that NBC is so willingly screwing him over. Ugh.

Back to school on Monday, classes start on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to seeing how my classes and professors turn out, hopefully everything will go well. I can't believe it's second semester already!

I apologize for being an awful commenter. I have no excuse, I have been so lazy these past few days. I hope you all have a great weekend! ♥

I've been downloading BL games, what a productive way to spend my break! :/ Had to fiddle with the files and a few programs to get things working, but I think I've figured it out. I'm starting out with Nitro+Chiral's games, they seem to have a good amount of resources in English and are gorgeously illustrated. I pretty much click click click away, stare at pretty CGs, and then guesstimate where the story is going from what I know.

I saw Avatar today! Some thoughts under the cut, in case of spoilers.

Another wall of text. )

I hope you all had a great December! I can't believe it's going to be 2010...!

Mostly updating to pimp The Less than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal, of which the first chapter has been posted! It seems like I've been following this project forever now, and I'm so glad to see it's still going strong. Do you guys have any favorite webcomics/projects that you'd recommend? Other webcomics I'm currently following are Hark! A Vagrant!, The Phoenix Requiem, Gunnerkrigg Court, Goodbye Chains and Metanoia.

Other than that, made flashcards for my History of Western Art I test on Friday, and have pretty much memorized the countries in the Middle East and Balkans for my Foreign Policy final tomorrow. I hope you're all doing well!

Spent all day in the city with my friend, we went from Chinatown to Greenwich Village to Rockefeller Center, and the latter was a disaster. It was beyond crowded, people were everywhere. We stood around, not moving, trying to cross the street, for half an hour. Ugh. BUT! I saw The Princess and the Frog on Friday night!

The Princess and the Frog review! Wall of text, some spoilers. )

Happy Birthday [info]tategamiwolf! I hope you're having an awesome day! :D

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF CLASSES. Thank god, this week seemed to take forever, especially Monday and Tuesday. I have some kind of "final" every day next week, but two of those are just showing up to the class. The other three are actual tests, but the only one I'm really worried about is History of Western Art I, I'm horrible at memorizing dates.

Meeting my friend in NYC tomorrow, I'm so excited! Definitely need to get off campus and do lots of walking around.

Got back to school last night from Thanksgiving break, it went by so fast! I just have to survive until winter break now, there's only two weeks of classes left, and then one week of finals and then this semester is over! I have one presentation and a paper due by the end of the week, and then two more papers the week after that. My finals are annoyingly spread out from the 14th to the 18th, and what's probably my hardest class, Western Art I, is at 8 am on Friday. D:

I'm so excited for The Princess and the Frog! I'm meeting my friend in NYC in about two weeks, and I'm dragging her to the movies with me to see it. I downloaded the soundtrack last week, and it sounds pretty good! It's been a while since I saw a 2D animated movie in theaters - I think the last one was Brother Bear, which I wasn't too crazy about.

Jersey Boys was amazing, I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would! The actor who played Frankie Valli sounded exactly like him, and the music was fantastic.

I should really try and start my Western Art I paper...riiiiight.

My biggest worry right now is getting out of college in a reasonable amount of time. I'm double majoring in English and Digital Media (in a school where most of the people I meet are Comm, Fashion and Education majors, I get some great looks), and I'm almost positive I won't be out of here in 2012. I'm almost done with my English major, but there are still a bunch of classes I have to take for my Digital Media major and for Core studies. I love both of my majors too much to pick one, and I've been trying to get some Core done over breaks. I'll just keep at it, and see how things turn out, I guess. :v

Watched today's episode of Merlin, I really liked it! I can't believe there's only four episodes left in this season, I'm so used to 20-something episodes of American shows. :/

Going into the city tomorrow to see Jersey Boys, I'm super excited! Only bad thing is getting up at 7:30 am to catch a 9:00 am bus.

Hello! It's been a while since I've had one of these, but hopefully it'll be a good place to talk and think about things.
